cheap suvenirs!!!

Hi, guys. All of a sudden, I’m leaving here for Japan in two weeks. It’s really hart me that I have to leave this lovely country. So now that I have to look for many souvenirs for my family and friends back in Japan. In this blog, I want to show you two nice Australian made souvenirs which you can buy at supermarket and at relatively cheap cost.

The first one, I’ve found recently at Woolworth, is tea named Australian Afternoon from TWININGS. TWILINGS itself is from Britain, but this tea is can be found only in Australia. On the package, you can see kangaroos jumping on, and it remind us of Australian iconic animal. I have not tries it yet, but when I searched it on the internet, it says the color of tea is like beautiful orange and the taste is not too strong, not too sweat. The cost is about 2.30 dollars, but I am not sure for actual cost. I got it only at 1.70 cents per 10 tea bags. The thing is that the size of this tea is small and quite light, so it’s really convenient if you don’t have plenty space in your suitcase.

The next one is pancake mix from Greens. This is Australian made of course. With this pancake mix, you can make delicious pan cakes with water. So, if you get this mix, all you need to prepare is just water. How easy!! And this cost you about 3. 19 dollars. I will but this product for my friend who are living by herself in Japan and also for my family.

Diet...

Hi, everyone. How was your weekend? For me, I went to Melbourne Central to watch movie titled Initiation Love, which is Japanese one. By the way, have you ever gone on a diet? I guess most girls have already tried it once in your life. I also did it when I was a high school student. As I was very curious about the way of diet I could try, I want to tell you two interesting diet styles I’ve found then. The first way is called Banana diet. This diet was featured on many TV program before and known as that many celebrities were doing it. In this way, you are supposed to eat one to two bananas in the morning and eat usual meal for lunch and dinner. This could work because a calorie of banana is quite lower than other food such as bread and rice. Also, banana contains a lot of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and potassium which have power to remove your fat. The other way is called chocolate diet. This diet suggest you eat about 50grams chocolate per day. Especially, chocolate which contain over 70 percent cacao is most suitable for this diet. You probably doubt an effect of this diet as chocolate said to contain a lot of fat. Of course it’s deniable but, chocolate also have effective nutrient for your diet presented by polyphenol. It can be helpful for you constipation, and also release your stress from diet.

I have never tried these two diet ways, but if you are currently on diet, you can try it.

Homestay in Melbourne

Hi, Have you ever had homestay family whom you spend your daily life with? Actually, I live with my host family now and I am really enjoying the moment with them. I do think that having host family is absolutely a good way to widen your experience in Melbourne and also grows up yourself more and more in many ways. However, from my experience, I have to say that it’s not always easy to spend your life with other people as there are some things you have to consider carefully in terms of etiquette. Especially in the city like Melbourne where a variety of cultures are mixed, you should not stereotype your host family. Of course, it’s essential to know about what is usual Australian home culture in advance and try to adjust it. But, I just have realised it is not necessarily useful way to get used to life with them and make them feel comfortable. Each family have their own rules and customs in their daily life to follow. Before, I sometimes asked my host family the question which starts with the sentence like “Does Australian~~?” Why Australian~~?” or something like that sort of question. This question annoyed my host family because they felt like they were stereotyped by me, so they never gave me an answer as I expected them to say. My host father always says that you can’t say that all Australians have the same culture. I was so impressed by his word as it changed my thought greatly. Briefly, we have to see each family and independents not from fixed way but from flexile way. This idea could also apply your whole life in Melbourne.
